The Stratford House teams brings together some of the most experienced private equity fund investors in India who have managed over 60 funds and invested in over 20 funds.
Muru has been investing in Indian assets for over 20 years. Prior to founding Stratford House, he was with CDC in London as Managing Director, Head of the Asia Funds business. He has also held senior roles in private equity and investment banking, based locally in India, including a stint at Actis, heading the infrastructure fund at UTI Capital, serving on the Board of ICICI Securities and heading the Indian operations of Cazenove whilst based both in the UK and in India.
He holds a masters degree in Law from Cambridge University.
Piyush has led fund and direct investments in India and other markets for over 10 years. Prior to founding Stratford House, Piyush was Portfolio Director with CDC working with Asian funds and co-investments in Asia and Africa. Previously he was with UTI Capital, where he worked with Muru, and was responsible for private capital infrastructure investments in India. Piyush started his career in investment banking with Axis Bank, India.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calcutta and is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Prachi is experienced in fund and direct investments and previously worked with CDC Asia Funds team and a Namibia based growth equity fund. She started her career with Credit Suisse’s Investment Banking division in India working on M&A, Debt and Equity Capital financing deals across various sectors. Prachi was part of the spun out team from CDC.
Prachi holds an MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
Wilfred brings a wealth of expertise spanning more than a decade in corporate finance advisory, audit and private equity. His professional journey began with Deloitte & Touche Singapore, where he honed his skills in the audit & assurance domain. Subsequently, he spent over 5 years at Provenance Capital, providing corporate finance advisory services to companies listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX-ST).
Wilfred holds an Executive Master in Finance from INSEAD with distinction and a Bachelor in Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University. He is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Accountant (Singapore).
